Lay-Away Policies and Procedures

Procedure

  • Print the Lay-away Agreement, Terms and Conditions Form (pdf file). Portable Document Format (PDF) files have become a standard for electronic document distribution and storage. Adobe® Reader® software is free. To view, navigate, print or save your copy of the Lay-away Agreement, Terms and Conditions Form download Adobe® Reader®.
  • Follow instructions on the form by completing all required information, initialing and signing form. (Buyer must mail completed and signed form.)
  • Mail to:  Elegant Wedding Accessories, Attn: Lay-away Dept, 9706 Rosalie Court, Granbury, Texas  76049.
  • Elegant Wedding Accessories Customer Services Department will process your request for lay-away and you will receive an email with the itemized lay-away total.  The total amount due will include the total for all items ordered, taxes (if applicable), layaway fee, cancellation deposit (to be refunded if lay-away is paid in full) shipping and shipping insurance.
  • You will then receive an invoice within 3 days from the date you received the email from Customer Services through PayPal for the initial lay-away payment due. Your Lay-away will not be considered approved until the deposit and initial payment has been received and processed.
  • Once a month or every two weeks (whichever payment timeline you select) you will receive an invoice from Elegant Wedding Accessories via PayPal for the Lay-away amount due.
  • Scheduled payments must be completed by you within 3 days of the date of the invoice.
  • The total balance of the lay-away must be paid in full 2 weeks prior to your wedding date.
After the lay-away has been paid in full your order will be shipped.

Terms and Conditions for Lay-away

  • Any customer requesting orders to be placed in lay-away will be required to sign a lay-away agreement with Elegant Wedding Accessories and pay the required fees, deposits and or amounts invoiced. This agreement will identify the buyer, wedding date and year; define the products placed in layaway, SKU #, item description, amount of each item, lay-away fee(s) due, length of lay-away term, payment due dates, deposit(s) required, sales tax (if applicable), shipping charge and shipping insurance charge.
  • The $5.00 Lay-away fee must be paid with the first payment.
  • Orders can be placed in lay-away for a period of no longer than 6 months or 180 days (unless additional arrangements have been made with Elegant Wedding Accessories).
  • Orders that total $50.00 or more (not including fees, tax, shipping or insurance) are eligible for lay-away (not including fees, shipping insurance, taxes or shipping charges).
  • Payment methods for lay-away are: PayPal.  You can use your debit or credit cards with PayPal and registration is free and simple to use.
  • Payments must be paid as agreed by the assigned due date.
  • Buyer is responsible for all shipping and insurance charges of the order.
  • Buyer is responsible for any and all taxes due on purchases.
  • Payments are scheduled and required in 2 week increments or monthly increments (whichever the Buyer chooses) for the 6 month period totaling 12 payments or 6 payments depending on which payment terms is selected.
  • First payment includes: required lay-away fee and 15% of total order. The 15% required can be increased if buyer prefers but cannot be lowered.
  • Buyer cannot change the payment term once the first payment has been received and processed.
  • Remaining payments= Total payments due for the remaining balance divided equally into 12 or 6 payments (based on payment selection made by Buyer).
  • Buyer has the option of paying more than required amount at any time but cannot pay less than amount due.
  • Full payment can be made on the balance of the lay-away at any time.
  • No item or order shall be placed in lay-away until the required form and deposits have been received and processed by Elegant Wedding Accessories.
  • Buyer cannot add items to a lay-away once the Agreement Form has been processed by Elegant Wedding Accessories.
  • Buyer cannot have more than 1 active lay-away open at a time.

Lay-Away Fee(s)

  • Elegant Wedding Accessories (elegantweddingaccessories.biz) reserves the right to charge a lay-away fee to be collected with the first payment.  A non-refundable $5.00 lay-away fee will be collected with the first payment. This fee is billed to the buyer as a one time charge to help pay for the cost of the lay-away service.
  • A late fee of five dollars ($5.00) will be assessed if payment is not received within 3-days of the payment due date. This fee will be added to the total amount due and added to your next payment. Late fees are non-refundable. Payment dates being defined as in 2 week or monthly increments.
  • Restocking fee is charged for orders cancelled or abandoned (see below).

Cancellation of Lay-Away

  • A written request must be made to Elegant Wedding Accessories to cancel a lay-away. The written request must be signed and dated by the customer indicating the lay-away number(s); items in lay-away and the original lay-away agreement must be provided and attached. Mail the cancelation request to: Elegant Wedding Accessories, Attn: Layaway Dept, 9706 Rosalie Court, Granbury, Texas 76049.
  • A restocking fee of 15% will be charged for a cancellation of a lay-away.
  • The refund minus any required fees will be payable within 30-days of receiving the required written request to cancel your lay-away minus any required fees or deposits.
  • A buyer cannot "cancel" a lay-away once the lay-away has been shipped.

Abandoned Orders

  • All lay-away orders that remain unpaid for 30-days without payment will be considered abandoned. This means that if an order is placed in lay-away with the correct deposit(s) and any additional payments made as required but a delay of payment is 30 or more days from the date the last payment was made that order is considered abandoned. If an order is flagged as abandoned ("no payments within 30-days from the date of last payment) Elegant Wedding Accessories (elegantweddingaccessories.biz) reserves the right to charge a (50%) fifty percent restocking fee prior to refunding payments billed and collected on all orders deemed "abandoned". The restocking fee is 50% of total payments billed and collected and NOT 50% of the purchase price.    NO EXCEPTIONS.

Product Discontinuation

  • Elegant Wedding Accessories (elegantweddingaccessories.biz) reserves the right to cancel a lay-away(s) in the unlikely event a manufacturer or supplier discontinues a product. Elegant Wedding Accessories (elegantweddingaccessories.biz) will refund all payments made, plus any fees billed and collected if a cancellation is requested by Elegant Wedding Accessories.

Store Credit

  • If a lay-away is cancelled Customers may accept store credit and use funds towards another purchase rather than accepting a refund.  Any store credit provided to Buyer must be used by Buyer within 30 days or the store credit is null and void.
  • Store credits cannot be transferred.

Refunds

  • Refunds will be payable within 30-days of receiving your cancellation less any fees due Elegant Wedding Accessories (elegantweddingaccessories.biz).

Lay-Away Items Not Inventoried by Seller

  • If an item(s) is/are placed in inventory includes those that are not warehoused at seller's location or included in current inventory and must be ordered from the manufacturer or supplier, the Buyer will be notified and the order will be initiated once the lay-away has been paid in full and all required fees have been paid. This process will require an additional week before the order can be shipped and buyer will be notified of the additional time requirement.

Items Not Eligible for Lay-away

  • Special Order items cannot be placed in lay-away.
  • Orders requesting engraving cannot be placed in lay-away.

Making Payments

  • All payments must be paid as agreed by the assigned due date.
  • If for any reason you are unable to remit payment contact Elegant Wedding Accessories (elegantweddingaccessories.biz) Customer Services Department immediately (prior to 5 days past the due date) with your Lay-Away Account Number to make new arrangements.
  • After the balance of the lay-away order has been paid in full and shipped to buyer Return Policies and Procedures become effective immediately.

 

Payment Methods

 

  • Elegant Wedding Accessories (elegantweddingaccessories.biz) accepts payments via PayPal.com for lay-away(s).

 

Fees:

 

The follow fees will be billed and are subject to increase at any time without notice.

  • Layaway processing fee: Elegant Wedding Accessories (elegantweddingaccessories.biz) charges a $5.00 lay-away fee collected with the first payment. This fee is billed to the buyer as a one time charge to help pay for the cost of the lay-away service. This fee is subject to increase/decrease without notification.

  • Late fee: A late fee of five dollars ("$5.00") will be assessed if payment is not received within 5-days of the payment due. This fee will be deducted from your next payment and debited prior to any refunds.

  • Restocking fee: A fifteen percent ("15%") restocking fee will be assessed on all orders cancelled.

  • Abandoned order fee: Elegant Wedding Accessories (elegantweddingaccessories.biz) will charge a fifty percent ("50%") abandoned order fee, which will be debited from payments billed and collected.
